
If you use your own certificate, make sure the name provided in the certificate matches the machine name (wildcard certificates are not supported.) You are also given the choice to let Windows Admin Center manage your TrustedHosts. If you use the generated certificate, it will match the DNS name of the server. The installer can create a self-signed certificate for testing, or you can provide the thumbprint of a certificate already installed on the computer. In the User Accounts window, select Properties and then select the Group Membership tab. You must specify the port that the service listens on, and it requires a certificate for HTTPS. In the Control Panel window, select User Accounts > Change your account type. On Windows Server, Windows Admin Center is installed as a network service. Install on Windows Server with desktop experience Right-click this icon and choose Open to open the tool in your default browser, or choose Exit to quit the background process.

When you start Windows Admin Center for the first time, you'll see an icon in the notification area of your desktop. The Stable and extended stable channels has been updated to 1.106 for Mac and Linux and 1.110 for Windows, which will roll out over the coming days/weeks.

When you start Windows Admin Center from the Start menu, it opens in your default browser. Manage this setting in the Teams admin center or using Teams PowerShell. To control which users can see the toggle, use the Teams admin setting UseNewTeamsClient under the TeamsUpdateManagement policy. If you choose to forego this setting, you must configure TrustedHosts manually. As an admin, you can manage which users in your organizations see or don't see the 'Try the new Teams' toggle to use the new Teams. Modifying TrustedHosts is required in a workgroup environment, or when using local administrator credentials in a domain.
