I have been a user for more than 10 years as well as a regular beta tester, so if they are prepared to treat their loyal customers in this way, it is time to change. I following this up with Evernote to confirm that this was real, and they have confirmed that will be what I need to pay. At least when I went to the Professional level, they delivered true Boolean searching at the same time! Since March 2021, my subscription has increased from USD70 to USD180 due to the way Evernote has changed its plans.
If I switch to a monthly payment, it is USD18 (well USD17.99 really!) or USD216 annually. That corresponds to $15 per month billed annually. A few days ago, I got an email from Evernote advising me that my Professional subscription would increase from USD100 to USD180 on 17 March, my annual renewal date.
